Had Yic Hsi not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Hsi hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the Rock City.

"I don't feel you win baseball games by working harder than the other team or 'wanting it more,'" Jackson told the Detroit Observer. "You win just by scoring more runs."
