The Charleston Battery beat the D.C. Divided, 7-3, at Washington Stadium. The win was due in part to left fielder Christian Weaver, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. José Torres notched his 1st save of the season. The second-place Battery have won 4 in a row.

Weaver had a game-changing home run in the top of the seventh. On a 0-2 fastball from Tommy Huber, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Battery a 6-3 lead. It was the 18th home run of the year for Weaver.

"It's the best feeling when you come through for your teammates," said Weaver.
