The Seattle Rocketeers got a magnificent effort from pitcher Bruce Hawkins, who kept Northern Virginia hitters in check en route to a 3-0 Rocketeers win at Atlantica. The win makes Seattle 34-32.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Mel Kiper III? The Seattle catcher had a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Rocketeers on top, 2-0. For the game, Kiper III had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said Hawkins.
