Baltimore turned a good effort from starter Dawson Bishop into a win over the Buckhead Bowties at 5 Paces Park. The Bullets won the game, 3-1. Bishop, the winner, moves to 13-5. He threw 8 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 7 and giving up 3 walks. The Bowties have now dropped 5 straight.
Baltimore used the timely hitting of Nathan Dixon to seize the win. The third baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bullets on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Dawson was throwing strikes, locating well," said Baltimore manager Chris Schubert.
