Bowties Lose Again, 5-1, to Northern Lions BC
|
Another game, another loss for the struggling Buckhead Bowties.
Thunder Bay Northern Lions BC starter Andrew Wilkes-Krier found his groove in his team's 5-1 win over the Buckhead Bowties. Wilkes-Krier, the winner, moves to 2-2. He threw 6.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks. Steve Hale closed the door for Thunder Bay, picking up his 9th save of the year.
Arturo Prado helped his team jump on top from the get-go. His first time up in the top of the first, he cranked a 2-run single to give Thunder Bay a 2-0 lead.
"We're in a little funk right now and we've just got to get ourselves out of it," said Buckhead manager Kerry Hofmeister.
Buckhead has now lost 8 in a row.
