Bullets Rally Late to Clip Kingston
|
Baltimore Grounds was the site of a tense game between the Kingston Ponies and Baltimore Bullets.
The Baltimore Bullets eked out a 3-2 win versus the Kingston Ponies at Baltimore Grounds. Nobody did more than pitcher Frank Vetter. He was terrific. Doug Morgan earned save number 21 this season.
Sam Allen drove in one run against the Ponies. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Baltimore in front, 3-2.
"We had the game right there for the taking," said Kingston manager Rayzor Ray. "But we decided not to take it."
With the victory, the Bullets record stands at 40-43.
