Leviathan Deal Hurricanes 6-4 Defeat
|
The Nova Scotia Leviathan dealt the Cape Coral Hurricanes a 6-4 loss at Factory of Sadness. Greg Hudson, the 13th overall pick in the 2055 draft, was the star on offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. Stan Carter got the win, improving to 6-2. He worked 6.1 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Nova Scotia, at 43-44, holds down 6th place in the Third League.
Had Hudson not come through in the top of the seventh, who knows how the game would've ended? But with two down, Hudson hit a 3-run home run. The Leviathan took the lead, 6-4, and never looked back.
"Say want you want about this team, they play nine innings hard," said Nova Scotia manager Tyler Studebaker.
