Buffalo Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
|
Pitcher Fernando Fonseca was sensational for the New Orleans Voodoo in his team's 4-1 triumph over the Buffalo White Walkers. Fonseca earned the win. The save was credited to Michael Wilson, his 2nd. The slumping White Walkers have dropped 6 in a row.
New Orleans used a well-timed hit by Jorge Valdés to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Voodoo ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"It was a solid team effort," Valdés said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
