No one was more impactful than John Matthews in the 5-3 Toronto win over Colorado. Matthews, who finished 2nd in the PL in OPS with .920 last year, went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The first-place Thunder have a one-game lead in their division.
In the first inning, Matthews had a 2-run home run for Toronto. It was his 13th home run of the season and put the Thunder on top, 2-0.
