Saboteurs Slap 8-6 Loss on Casper
|
The Casper Ghosts got a superb performance from third baseman Evan Cannon, but the Toledo Saboteurs still won the game, 8-6. Cannon went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The 10th-place Saboteurs now have a record of 10-13.
Toledo used a clutch at-bat from Matt Nance to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Saboteurs ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Toledo skipper Rodney Dudley.
