Eclipse Get Thrilling 6-5 Win
|
The Northville Eclipse beat the Richland Rails, 6-5 -- though it took them 10 innings. Northville center fielder Keith Day had a pretty good game. He went 2-4 with 2 singles and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. The 6th-place Eclipse are 13-12.
The game came to a sudden end. In the bottom of the tenth, with one out, Day reached on an error by the 1B, driving in 1 run. It gave Northville the 6-5 walk-off win.
In comments to the Northville Times, Day admitted he's been told to improve his work habits. "But," he said, "I know when to take it to another gear."
