The Memphis Mockingbirds defeated the New Orleans Voodoo by the score of 9-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to first baseman Lee Lee. Lee belted 2 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring twice for the Mockingbirds on the day. Kenny Flint recorded the save, his 3rd. The second-place Voodoo now sit at 42-29.

Lee had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Mockingbirds went on to win.

Lee told a Memphis Chronicle reporter that he was "satisfied" with the win.
