Saboteurs Beat Richland, 2-1
|
The Richland Rails got a superb performance from pitcher Xiao-peng Le. Still, it wasn't enough to beat Toledo. The Saboteurs won the game, 2-1. Le threw 8.0 innings of 3-hit ball. Toledo reliever Adam Smith picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Justin Joseph took the loss. Jesse Yates earned the save for Toledo, his 1st.
Toledo used the hitting of Denis Duncan to pick up the win. The catcher clubbed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put the Saboteurs on top, 2-1. For the game, Duncan had 1 home run and 2 singles in 4 at-bats.
"We did just enough to win," Duncan said.
Toledo is 14-18 and Richland, with the loss, 18-14.
