Zamora Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits
No matter what the Virginia Beach Whales threw at him, Pancho Zamora hit it. He easily handled Whales pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Fur Traders triumph, 9-4, at Virginia Beach Grounds.

"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.

Told of Zamora's quip, Whales skipper Wilson López said he "would take him up on that next time."

Pancho Zamora hit a two-run home run off Martin Sellers in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

For the season, Zamora is hitting at a .296 clip with 4 home runs, 14 RBIs and has scored 15 runs. He has 29 hits, 8 walks and a .346 on-base percentage.
