Northville Eclipse starter Jerry Armstrong found his groove in his team's 5-4 win over the Virginia Beach Whales. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Claudio Núñez. The Eclipse now have a mark of 24-18.

Had Cecil Burke not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Burke hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 5-4, in favor of the Eclipse.

"It's nice to get the results when you're feeling good and throwing the ball well," said Armstrong after the game.
