Highlanders Pull Out Late Win, 2-1
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Asheville Highlanders and Westwood Sixshooters.
The Westwood Sixshooters went down to defeat to Artie Morrow and his Asheville teammates. The final score was 2-1, in favor of the Highlanders. The Highlanders now have a record of 25-19 with the win over Westwood.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Sixshooters allowed the Highlanders to score the winning run.
"What a buzz," said Horton after it was over.
