|
The Pine Island Dolphins dealt the Ottawa Fat Cats a 6-4 loss at Goodyear Hanger Dome. Mark Jones was the star on offense. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The loss makes Ottawa 20-25.
Pine Island took a 5-4 lead on Jones's 1st home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which he hit off Júlio Díaz in the bottom of the seventh, propelled Pine Island to the win.
Pine Island manager Alfonso Dolton was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys played hard, they played all the way through," he said.
