Yakima Loses Again, 4-1
|
Pitcher Garry Bennett was rock solid in helping the Lancaster Farmers beat the Yakima Hops, 4-1. The winning pitcher was Bennett, now 2-4. He tossed 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 5. Rob Small collected his 3rd save.
Roberto Quintanilla drew 2 walks in 4 trips to the plate against the Hops. With the game tied in the bottom of the sixth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put Lancaster in front, 2-1.
"When you have a good rhythm and good flow, it's nice to just go out there and pound the strike zone with confidence," said Bennett.
The slumping Hops have lost 8 straight.
