The home crowd had a good time watching the Pine Island Dolphins and Northville Eclipse get after it.
In a low-scoring affair between the Northville Eclipse and the Pine Island Dolphins, pitcher Jason García was the difference between victory and defeat. The Northville left-hander earned accolades for his stellar performance in the 3-0 Eclipse win. Getting the save was Claudio Núñez, his 4th.
García was in the zone, shutting down Pine Island hitters over 8 innings. García, who threw 86 pitches, allowed no runs on 1 hit. He also tallied 6 punchouts.
"Thought I threw pretty well and overall I felt good," said García.
The victory gives Northville a record of 27-19.
