|
The Richland Rails and Yakima Hops played an entertaining game for Hops Park patrons.
Richland parlayed a decent outing from starter Karl Roberts into a solid win over the Yakima Hops. The final score was 4-3. In 6.1 innings, Roberts surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 3. He allowed 2 runs.
Richland needed the clutch hitting of Rak Kuhn to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rails on top, 3-2. For the game, Kuhn had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
Kuhn called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
