Northville first baseman Cecil Burke had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Burke was 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2, even as Pine Island beat the Eclipse, 11-7. The 8th-place Dolphins now have a win-loss record of 29-36.

Pine Island got a big at-bat from Woking, England native Bryan Medforth, who in the bottom of the third hit a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Dolphins ahead, 7-1.

"Win or lose, we always try to grind it out and stay even-keeled," Medforth said in reaction to the win.
