Northville Defeated by Lancaster, 3-1
|
The Lancaster Farmers trumped the Northville Eclipse, 3-1, at Farmers Field. Lancaster third baseman Chris Ledesma was terrific. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Neil Rosbotham got the win, improving to 4-2. He worked 6 innings, giving up no runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. Chong-yeol Sin was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 1 of 1 save opportunities.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Ledesma hit a 3-run home run off Jason García. It propelled the Farmers into the lead, 3-0.
"Makes our job easier," said Ledesma, "when our pitchers shut the opposition down."
After today's action, Lancaster sits at 34-35, while Northville falls to 37-32.
