The Richland Rails had to overcome a big game from Toledo designated hitter Ángel Segura to leave Rails Ballpark with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Segura was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win was credited to 23-year old left-handed pitcher Richard Stevenson in relief. His record improves to 4-3. Johnny Matthews took the loss. With the win, the Rails improved to 42-30.
Will Morrison dealt the Saboteurs a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Richland leading 2-1, Morrison hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single.
"I was a little disappointed," said Toledo manager Rodney Dudley. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
