Eager fans turned out for a matchup between the Asheville Highlanders and Tacoma Fur Traders.

Behind the hitting of Ameirin Javakhov, the Asheville Highlanders stopped the Tacoma Fur Traders, 5-0. Javakhov was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for the Highlanders. John Moore got the win, improving to 2-2.
