Michael Hamilton, who is tied for 3rd in the 3AA in wins with 8, had a strong outing for the Casper Ghosts against the Virginia Beach Whales at Virginia Beach Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 5-2 win. Hamilton yielded no runs over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 2, and struck out 4. His record improves to 8-2. Kanzaburo Ichikawa picked up the save for Casper, his 17th of the year.

Casper used the hitting of Hunter Chase to pick up the win. The left fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Ghosts on top, 4-0. For the game, Chase had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
