The Casper Ghosts topped the Virginia Beach Whales, 5-3, in M3L Double A action at Virginia Beach Grounds. The standout performance belonged to Casper pitcher and Kearney, Nebraska, native Calvin Godwin. The win puts the Ghosts at 46-29, while the Whales drop to 26-49.

Rick Robertson's at-bat in the top of the sixth was significant, coming with runners on 1st and 2nd and the game tied, 2-2. The Casper catcher hit a run-scoring single off Matt Whitfield to put the Ghosts up.

"We were the better team," crowed Robertson.
