Dolphins Upend Rails, 6-1
|
Rails Ballpark was the site for M3L Double A action featuring the Richland Rails and Pine Island Dolphins.
Starting pitcher Andrew Johnson was a major factor in the 6-1 Pine Island Dolphins triumph over the Richland Rails. Johnson got the win, improving to 7-4. He gave up 10 hits and walked 1 over 7.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Teddy Davis closed it out for Pine Island, earning his 1st save.
Pine Island used a clutch at-bat from Luis Guzmán to capture the win. The right fielder hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Dolphins ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"We had a good game plan," Johnson said, "and we were able to execute it."
Pine Island bumps their record to 39-50 with the win.
