Hollywood Bats Go Silent in 3-0 Loss
|
In a low-scoring contest between the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids and the Hollywood Shredders, Finlay Midwinter was the X factor. The Northern Virginia right-hander spearheaded the 3-0 win. Samuel Morris earned the save, his 5th in 7 tries. Northern Virginia has 3 straight wins, Hollywood 3 straight losses.
Northern Virginia got a big at-bat from Nampo, North Korea native Chong-hun Chon, who in the bottom of the third hit a 2-run triple. It was his 1st triple of the season and put the Rainbow Mermaids ahead, 3-0.
Northern Virginia manager David Lister called it "a pretty good win."
