The Boston Patriots picked up a win at Dunkin Donuts Park, topping the New Orleans Voodoo, 6-2. On the mound for Boston was right-hander Eric Buchanan. He played a principal role in the triumph. In 7 innings, Buchanan surrendered 5 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed 2 runs. Boston, at 41-44, sits in 7th place in the Premier League.
The Patriots got a big at-bat from first baseman Andrés López. For the game, López was 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 6th home run of the season gave Boston a 3-2 lead.
