Guinea Pigs Earn Win with Late Rally
|
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs knocked off the Squirrel Hill Pierogis, 5-4, in USPL Double A action at Field of the Rawhides. Gwinnett pitcher and Kansas City, Missouri, native Jeff Bean had an outstanding performance. Matt Griffin nailed down his 1st save. With the loss, Squirrel Hill is 1-1.
Michael Frayo contributed to the Gwinnett win with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the eighth. For the game, the second baseman had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 RBI.
