O'Mulrooney Delivers Walk-Off Win for Thunder
|
Toronto turned a good performance from starting pitcher Nelson Bennett into a 2-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh Kingfishers in 12 innings at Thunder Field. Toronto pitcher Luis Rosário earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. John Dodson suffered the loss. The Thunder saw their record improve to 51-42.
The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the 12th when Sonny O'Mulrooney hit a run-scoring double off 25-year old right-handed pitcher John Dodson to win the game for Toronto. The home crowd went wild.
"Some games build character," said Toronto manager Jordan Smith. "Like this one."
