The Crescent City Krewe weathered a fine game by Nuevo Mexico center fielder Bryan Catron to upend the Mariachis, 6-5, at Mariachi Band Shell. Catron went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The Krewe, at 11-12, sit in 6th place in the Premier AA.

With Crescent City leading 5-2 in the top of the seventh, Luis González hit a run-scoring single off Nuevo Mexico pitcher Dan Mullally. It put the Krewe ahead 6-2.

González told the Crescent City Bulletin: "Win or lose, I don't want to see our team outhustled."
