Screaming Eagles Overcome Gem from Grimaud, Pull Out Win
Vancouver got a terrific performance from pitcher Jean-Jacques Grimaud, but it wasn't enough to beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles. Mercer Island won the Vipers Ballpark contest, 5-3. Grimaud threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball for the losing team. Manny Sexton closed the door for Mercer Island, picking up his 4th save of the year. Mercer Island is now 9-14, Vancouver 12-11.

The Vipers wasted a masterful performance from Grimaud, who registered 8 strikeouts and held the Screaming Eagles without an earned run over 8 innings.
