Atoms Handle Guinea Pigs, 4-3
|
Bethesda registered a win at Experimental Stadium by beating the Gwinnett Guinea Pigs, 4-3. Pitcher Anthony Samuels was one reason why the Atoms triumphed. Baltwin Jens earned the save, his 1st. Gwinnett has now lost 5 consecutive games.
Ty Riese had a direct impact on the outcome. Riese contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth inning to put Bethesda up, 4-2.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Samuels.
