Vipers Win Nail-Biter
The Vancouver Vipers took Bill Darcy's best shot and still were able to collect a win at Field of the Krewe. The final score had Vancouver getting past the Krewe, 7-6, in 10 innings. Darcy over 6 innings allowed 3 runs on 3 hits, while striking out 3. The win was credited to 23-year old left-handed pitcher Hirokazu Fukuda in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Diego Ramírez took the loss. At 15-12, the Vipers find themselves in 4th place in the Premier AA.

Vancouver used a timely hit from Patrick Nichols to get the win. The left fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Vipers ahead, 5-3. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

"Exciting game to play in," said Nichols. "Getting the win makes it even better."
