Turbeaus Go Down to Defeat, 6-1
|
The Gwinnett Guinea Pigs went home winners at Experimental Stadium, thanks in large part to starter Rod Pritchard. Pritchard stifled the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, enabling Gwinnett to grab the 6-1 win. With the win, the Guinea Pigs are 10-19.
The Guinea Pigs got a big at-bat from center fielder Pierrick Pasquet. For the game, Pasquet was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Gwinnett a 1-0 lead.
Gwinnett manager Cary Collins praised his team's "businesslike approach."
