Nuevo Mexico Mariachis starter Gilberto Espinoza turned in a top-notch performance against the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles at Mariachi Band Shell. The result was a win for the Mariachis, 2-1. The win belonged to Harry Arrington in relief. His record improves to 1-1. Brad Terry took the loss for Mercer Island. Samuel Morris closed it out for his 13th save.

Lawrence Boone went 1 for 4 against the Screaming Eagles. With the game tied in the bottom of the seventh inning, he reached on an error by the 2B, driving in 1 run that put Nuevo Mexico in front, 2-1.

"It was just a matter of executing," said Nuevo Mexico manager Allen Carlson.
