The Ithaca Fighting Imps eked out a 3-2 win versus the Marquette Miners at Imps Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Salvador Pérez. He was terrific. Allen Wagner earned the save for Ithaca, his 1st of the year. Marquette's current losing streak has reached 4 games.

Chad Thompson's at-bat in the bottom of the fourth inning was a big one for Ithaca. Coming to bat with one out, the bases loaded and Ithaca trailing 2-1, the catcher hit a sacrifice fly.

Thompson told the Ithaca Daily News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
