The Crescent City Krewe got a magnificent effort from pitcher Brandon Whitney, who kept Bethesda hitters in check en route to a 1-0 Krewe win at Field of the Krewe. Crescent City is 16-22 and Bethesda, with the loss, 21-17.

The decisive blow was delivered in the bottom of the ninth when Yannick Bouwman hit a run-scoring double off 27-year old right-handed pitcher Robert Walls to win the game for Crescent City. The home crowd went wild.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Bouwman said.
