Loudermilk Pops Two Homers in 7-4 Win for Vancouver
|
A 4-RBI performance from the top prospect Rich Loudermilk helped the Vancouver Vipers beat the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles, 7-4. Jeff LaPierre snagged the win in relief. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits over 2 innings. He's now 2-1 on the season. The second-place Vipers sport a record of 23-15.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Patrick Nichols? The Vancouver left fielder had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Vipers on top, 3-1. For the game, Nichols had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.
