Voodoo Best Billy Goats in Pitching Duel
|
New Orleans Voodoo pitcher Juan Castillo was in top form, leading his team past the Colorado Billy Goats, 2-1. Michael Wilson was credited with the save for New Orleans, his 27th of the season. The Voodoo lead the Premier League by 10 games.
New Orleans used the timely hitting of Juan Díaz to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Voodoo on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
"Good ballgame," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary. "But we came up on the short end."
