Vipers Win at Gulf Coast, 4-1
|
The Vancouver Vipers topped the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 4-1, with youngster Jorge Hernández playing a key role. Hernández went 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once for the Vipers in the win. Vancouver now has a record of 21-19 with the win.
Early in the game, Hernández had a 3-run home run for Vancouver. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Vipers on top, 3-0.
Despite the victory, Hernández was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
