Pierogis Win with Late Heroics
The Squirrel Hill Pierogis, despite a fine performance by Philadelphia pitcher Michael Adkins, grabbed a 3-2 win in 10 innings at Field of the Rawhides. Adkins allowed 2 runs over 8 innings. The 9th-place Pierogis hiked their record to 18-24.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Squirrel Hill second baseman Dae-sung Pak, facing Jimmy Bailey, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Pierogis the 3-2 win.

Pak said his team "played with focus."
