Screaming Eagles Win Nail-Biter
Due in part to center fielder Jared Tomlinson, the Mercer Island Screaming Eagles chopped down the Marquette Miners, 11-10, in 10 innings. Tomlinson went 3-5 with a home run and a double, while adding 5 RBI and scoring once. Billy O'Bryan earned the win after being summoned from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 3 runs on 4 hits in 2.2 innings. He upped his record to 2-1. The Screaming Eagles, at 20-23, sit in 6th place in the Premier AA.

Mercer Island used the timely hitting of Ahn Jin-ah to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Screaming Eagles on top, 10-9. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Jin-ah told the Mercer Island Daily News. "It's as simple as that."
