The Crescent City Krewe pinned a convincing loss on the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 9-3, at Mobile Home Park. Martin Watson was a main factor in the win. He went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Crescent City. Picking up the win was George Johnston. He went 6 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits. The right--hander struck out 5 and walked 2. Picking up his 1st save was 21-year old right-handed pitcher Carl Gray.

Crescent City used the bat of Luis González to get the win. The second baseman hit a slider from Bubba Orr out of the park for a 2-run home run. The blast came in the top of the fifth inning and put the Krewe on top, 4-2. It was González's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"We were able to put some runs on the board," said Watson after the game.

The last-place Turbeaus dropped to 14-31.
