The Crescent City Krewe got a superb performance from designated hitter Domingo Gómez, but the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis still won the game, 8-6. Gómez was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Harry Arrington earned the save for Nuevo Mexico, his 5th. The Mariachis go to 24-25, putting them 5th in the Premier AA.

Nuevo Mexico won the game in part because of John Holland. The right fielder ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Mariachis ahead, 8-5. For the game, Holland had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"I'm just trying to make good contact," said Holland, "one at-bat at a time."
