Behind a fine performance from Jerry Knight, the Ithaca Fighting Imps knocked off the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, 6-4. Knight went 4-4 with a home run, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Fighting Imps. Yuk Yan closed out the game, earning his 7th save. Ithaca leads the Premier AA by 7 games.
In the top of the seventh, Nacho Rodríguez, who is tied for 8th in the PAA in total bases with 87, delivered for Ithaca. That's when he belted a grand slam home run, putting the Fighting Imps up, 5-3. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a climactic one.
Ithaca manager Jeffrey Lewis commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."
