Big Day for Benjamin in 10-6 Liberty Academy Win
No one was more impactful than Larry Benjamin in the 10-6 Philadelphia win over Mercer Island. Benjamin, who is tied for 6th in the PAA with a .379 on-base percentage, went 2-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 times and drove in 2. Chad May, the winner, goes to 5-2. He allowed 5 runs on 7 hits, with 1 walk and 7 strikeouts over 7 innings. Jimmy Bailey earned the save, his 1st, for the Liberty Academy.

The Liberty Academy got a big at-bat from shortstop Jim Alexander, who in the bottom of the third hit a bases-clearing double. It was his 12th double of the season and put the Liberty Academy on top, 5-0.
