Turbeaus Get Hard-Earned Win
The Mercer Island Screaming Eagles could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Nobuo Kobayashi into a win. Instead, the Gulf Coast Turbeaus prevailed, 8-7, in 10 innings. Kobayashi was 1 for 3 with a home run and 3 walks, while scoring 2. Raúl Sánchez was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Billy O'Bryan. The victory makes Gulf Coast 15-37.

Gulf Coast fans at Mobile Home Park were rewarded for their support of the Turbeaus with a nice win.

Turbeaus manager Neal Davis wasn't all too pleased, despite the win, telling reporters that the performance highlighted some clear areas for improvement moving forward. He refused to be more specific, however. "I'm not gonna publicize our weaknesses," he said. "That stuff stays in the clubhouse."
