Mariachis Fall Short, 2-1, at Crescent City

In a tight game between the Crescent City Krewe and the Nuevo Mexico Mariachis, pitcher George Johnston was terrific on the mound. The Crescent City right-hander helped his team to the 2-1 win. The save went to Diego Ramírez, his 5th this season. The defeat makes Nuevo Mexico 30-24.
Crescent City went up, 2-1, on Arnold González's 1st triple of the season. The run-scoring triple, which González hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Nuevo Mexico pitcher José Tapia shaking his head.
"Tough loss," said Nuevo Mexico manager Allen Carlson. "But we'll learn from it."
